My Profile
FROM THE ARTIST From an early age, I have enjoyed exploring my environment, celebrating the sights of natue and wildlife. My camera has given me an extension in which to record, share, and delight in so many of my personal adventures. I have been fortunate to have traveled to many areas both in and outside the U. S. Australia is so abundant in wildlife and mystery; the vast grandeur of Alaska is unending; Canada and the Pacific Northwest boast peaks appearing to be insurmountable; the Southwest radiates creative light, holding spirits begging to be acknowledged. I have indulged myself in some of these gifts, hoping to ‘bookmark’ them for others to enjoy. Having lived in Oregon many years, then transferring across the U.S.. living on the East Coast for a time, all broadened my knowledge in my chosen field. Through professional training and experience, my work reveals a wide view of my combined interests of portraits and scenics. I have enjoyed photographing coastal weddings both on the East Coast, and the West Coast. One of my enjoyable experiences has been photographing notable persons such as the Clintons’ vacations, and personal photos for Jackie Onassis. I worked with the Oceanographic Institute of Woods Hole, Massachusetts, and the Sea Education Association of Cape Cod. I work with stock agencies on a continued basis and my work has been published in textbooks and magazines. I have won awards in international salons, and many local and regional shows. I have been recognized by the Photographic Society of America. EXHIBIT LOCATIONS As an Oregon photographer, my work may be seen in Newport, Oregon in the Yaquina Art Gallery at Historic Nye Beach; in Waldport, Oregon at the Pacific Office Solutions, located on highway 101, main street. On the East Coast, my work will be found at the Cape Gallery Framer, in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
